The 27th JEONJU IFF's slogan, "Beyond the Frame," reflects the festival's spirit of crossing lines and breaking from conventional film formats.
The identity began with a trailer. Objects collected from everyday life appear as characters in short stop-motion narratives, each emerging at its own moment to play a role. The way objects of different natures come together within a single frame mirrors the festival's embrace of diversity. Images cropped and zoomed from this footage then expand into the key visuals across the festival.
Built on the sense of the hand, the identity uses printed materials, paper, and objects rather than polished digital graphics. Against the rise of AI, it chooses the warmth and rough touch that machine calculation cannot replicate. The letter "J," the festival's symbol, is reinterpreted as a vessel holding diverse stories, its hand-crafted fragments coming together to form the festival's identity.
